Joe Robach, Fighting for Rochester

Throughout his career, Senator Joe Robach Rochester NY has made sure that Rochester is not forgotten in Albany.   From 2006 to 2010, Joe Robach fought for a 33% increase in aid for Rochester, a record amount, in order to prevent the need for a huge increase in the property tax rate for residents. $300,000 was secured during that time to create the “Summer of Opportunity Program” which provides summer employment for youths within the City of Rochester. During 2006, Joe Robach also delivered $1 million to Gleason Works protecting the 650 jobs in Rochester and Monroe County. Working with fellow members of the Senate Majority, Joe Robach passed legislation that provided for direct tax rebate checks, which eased the tax burden on working families here in our community. Joe Robach also voted in 2006 to eliminate the Marriage Income Tax Penalty which saved the taxpayers across New York State $41 million.

Joe Robach has shown us that he will never stop fighting for us to deliver the resources our community needs and deserves. Joe Robach has been an effective leader who will make sure Rochester and Monroe County are not shortchanged during state budget negotiations. Time and time again, Rochester and Monroe County has shown that it’s a pioneering community in New York, making invaluable contributions.  Joe Robach has fought to make sure that those contributions are not forgotten and that the needs of Rochester and Monroe County are attended to.
