Joe Robach, Standing Up for More Jobs in Rochester

Rochester Senator Joe Robach is cosponsoring a Career Fair for Business and Technical Affairs next Thursday, December 13th from 2 pm to 5 pm at the Warshof Conference Center, located within the R. Thomas Flynn Campus Center at Monroe Community College in Brighton. The career fair will be hosted by the Monroe Community College Office of Workforce Development. Along with Rochester Senator Joe Robach, cosponsors of this event include The August Group, Time Warner Cable, RochesterWorks! and the Angelo Planning Group, LLC. Many businesses from the Rochester area will be present to take part in this event to help those in our community out of work, or looking for an employment change find their next great opportunity.

Senator Joe Robach, throughout his career, has been a stalwart advocate for job creation, job training and job expansion in the Rochester and Monroe County area. During this past session of the New York State Legislature, Senator Robach sponsored and passed S6429A, which would add a workforce training program within the state Department of Labor that is specifically intended to help women seek higher paying jobs. The program would include: current information about careers that offer higher salary and compensation; counseling, skills development and training that encourage women to seek jobs with higher earning potential; and referrals to employers offering such jobs.
